Our flood ratings enable the property search and mortgage sectors to understand flood risk across their portfolios and identify areas for future investigation.
We provide flood ratings to the property search and mortgage sectors in the UK and Republic of Ireland to assist with property valuations, insurance advice, and property screenings for potential flood risk.
Our UK and Republic of Ireland 5m Floodability® Data provides a colour rating scale, from no colour (low likelihood) to black (very high likelihood), to indicate the likelihood of flooding at property level from river, surface water and coastal sources. The data is derived from our high-resolution UK flood maps and is available as either spatial data or as UPRN*-referenced data in a comma separated values file.
These ratings give an indication as to whether further investigation into flood risk is advisable to enable clients to manage their potential flood exposure. Read the case study from JBA data partner, Airbus, with Nationwide Building Society to see how our data can help the property search sector better manage property portfolios against flood risk and improve customers' experience.
Our flood ratings are available directly via JBA or via one of our many resellers. Additionally, we can develop flood ratings for other countries as requested, so get in touch to find out more. You can also check out our global flood maps and analytics to find out more about our work.
